We are raising funds to rent amazing event spaces, provide fantastic food, and foster deeper relationships.

Help host an event.

We are always looking for great spaces for events. Let us know if you have an event space, want to volunteer, or have ideas.

Volunteers needed.

Volunteers for these roles must be over 18 years of age, and will be asked to participate in volunteer training and a background check.

Social Ambassador

Manage posts, comments, and sharing on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram 1-3 times a week.

  • Post new events and event reminders

  • Follow, comment, like, and share posts from T1D leaders, individuals and organization 

  • Post and share event photos to our social media sites and followers

  • Repost content from influencers/organization

  • Reply to direct comments or messages from followers when appropriate

  • Follow and enforce our social media policy

Event Coordinator

Manage the details of getting a new event booked and scheduled.

  • Coordinate an event details with the venue manager/owner

  • Send any fees, deposits, paperwork, etc. to Admin

  • Get a head-count limit or other important criteria

  • Schedule events

  • Find a Hospitality Volunteer(s) for the Event

  • Find a Photographer for the Event

  • Enter the event info in the event calendar form

Event Hospitality

Be a friendly face to greet and take care of our event participants.

  • Print out sign-in / sign-out forms

  • Bring name tags and markers

  • Arrive at the venue 30-45 minutes before the event

  • Meet and thank the host

  • Setup any tables, chairs, food,  or equipment needed

  • Greet participants as they arrive

  • Sign in all attendees and ensure they have any waivers needed and have acknowledged the photo release. (yes or no)

  • Sign out youth as needed if being picked up from a drop-off event

Event Photographer

Capture the moment.

  • Arrive 10-15 minutes prior to event

  • Take photos of the event, candid and staged, some for social, some that could be used as website assets.

  • Upload photos to Google Drive / Photos
